Peer Advocate

Our peer advocates serve as the support person for our clients. The peer advocate meets one on one with the client and offers emotional and spiritual support. Peer advocates refer patients to community resources while offering emotional and spiritual support from pregnancy test through delivery. Patients are connected to their peer advocate through their first appointment and are continuously supported through follow up phone calls. If you have a heart for life and to pour into women, this volunteer role may be a good fit!

We are currently looking for 2 or more Peer Advocates to come in once a week for a 3-hour shift. Afternoon hours are especially needed! We are always in need of bilingual peer advocates.

Medical

We have a need for 2 volunteer Registered Nurses to administer pregnancy tests and give medical consultations to our patients. Our nurses get to process medical information with our patients , capture health history and answer any medical questions they may have. We are also looking for nurses who are interested in performing ultrasounds and being trained in ultrasonography. A current nursing license is required for all medical positions.

We ask that anyone who is interested in the volunteer nurse position come in once a week for a 3-hour shift.

Boutique

Ultrasound Witness

Volunteers in the boutique help with washing , folding , and refilling our Bumps and Bows boutique to keep it clean and ready for our bimonthly shopping days. Everything in our store is generously donated! Our boutique volunteers work hard to sort through our bags of donations, launder and clean each item, and organize the goods by type. Boutique volunteers get to help our clients shop when they come in for our "shop days". This is a fun way to get to build relationships with our gals as they progress through their pregnancies.

We are currently looking for 2 boutique volunteers to come in for 2-3 hours a week.

Each ultrasound appointment requires a 2nd person to be present in the room as a witness. Ultrasound witnesses get to sit in on the appointments. It is a simple job, but a precious and important one. Ultrasound witnesses are asked to remain silent and to pray for each of our patients while they get to witness some of the most tender moments in their lives.

We are currently looking for 2 volunteer ultrasound witnesses to work 3 hour shifts once week.
